Day 2 at the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star $10,000 no-limit hold’em main event ran late into the night in San Jose, California on Wednesday. When the dust finally settled there were 24 players who advanced to day 3. You can catch a recap of day 3 when play concludes tomorrow night. The chip leader at the end of the day was Joris Springael with 1,477,000. Other notables at the top of the leader board include Vivek Rajkumar (1,076,000) and Dan Smith (703,000). Smith made his jump to the top of the standings at end of the night when he eliminated John Juanda in 25th place to bring play to a close for the evening.
On that final hand of the night Juanda was all in with K-9 on a 10-9-5-10-7 board, but Smith held pocket sevens, which gave him the victory with the set. Juanda joined some of the other largest names of the game who hit the rail on day 2, which included casualties such as Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu.

Flack was eliminated on the money bubble in 46th place but he did collect enough bounties to match the prize money for 45th place. He eliminated Jerry Yang, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, and McLean Karr during his tour through the tournament and took home $15,000 in bounties as a result.
