Twenty-year-old Mustapha Kanit has won the PokerStars.com Italian Poker Tour Nova Gorica taking down €200,000 for his victory over the 395-strong field.
The €2,000 buy in event created a prize pool of €768,240 and in the final hand Kanit had to come from behind holding Q
9 against Marco Mancini’s K Q
and did so convincingly, hitting a 9 on the flop and another on the turn to lift the title and first prize.
