Ilari SahamiesAfter some intense action in the two weeks after Black Friday, the online high stakes world has been almost non-existent over the past seven days.

The two biggest winners in the time span have been Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies and Rui Cao. Sahamies won about $200,000, mostly against the likes of Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky at $100-$200 pot-limit Omaha on Full Tilt Poker. Over at the middle stakes of $25-$50 pot-limit Omaha, Cao has been dominating his opponents, winning slightly more than $200,000 over the course of 2,000 hands.

Whil Cao has been a model of consistency over the past few months, Sahamies is trying to get back on track after multiple extended breaks from the nosebleed stakes. Last week, Sahamies put in sessions of $300-$600 pot-limit Omaha against NoPasaran and Gus Hansen, and he ended up dropping about $250,000. Hansen still currently leads the online world with more than $3 million in 2011 profits.
