The world's top poker pros and 888.com online qualifiers will battle for their share of the $500,000 prize pool at this year's 888.com UK Poker Open.
Now in its third year, the event has become one of the most eagerly awaited tournaments in the European poker calendar. Viewers can watch the tournament live from Maidstone Sept. 25 to Oct. 8 on Challenge TV.
Pacific Poker, 888.com's online poker room, is holding numerous satellite games daily that allow players to win their way to the UK Poker Open. Winners of the satellites will compete every Sunday until Sept. 16 for a seat in the main event valued at $7,500.
Over $1 million was shared by 18 skillful players at last year's UK Poker Open. Ian Frazer from the UK took home the $500,000 first prize. Professional poker player Julian Gardner finished fourth, as the highest placing Pacific Poker member, winning $65,000.
