Luca Pagano Tops Italian Poker Tour San Remo

Italian Takes Down First Major Live Poker Event In Home Country

Credit: PokerStarsLuca Pagano celebrated his first major tournament takedown on home soil with a win in the San Remo leg of the Italian Poker Tour. The victory scored him €210,000 as he left 425 crushed souls in his wake.

Pagano’s final opponent was Romanian player Dan Murariu. Murariu’s QClub Suit 9Diamond Suit could not better the Italian’s ADiamond Suit QHeart Suit on a board of 8Heart Suit 7Club Suit 2Club Suit JHeart Suit 3Heart Suit and it was all over.

Pagano first came to public attention when he finished third at EPT Barcelona seven years ago and since then the likeable Italian has cashed in a record 18 EPT tournaments, this includes six final tables.

The Italian Poker Tour will pull into Nova Gorica next and will bring with it plenty of action from Sept. 1 to 5.
