European Poker Tour Barcelona This Weekend

EPT Rolls Into Popular Catalan City Tomorrow With Up To 1,000 Players Expected

The PokerStars European Poker Tour makes its second stop of season eight tomorrow, August 27 at Arts Hotel (Casino annex), Barcelona where up to 1,000 players are expected in the main event.

The €5,000 + €300 buy in event has two day 1s, one hour levels (rising to 75 minutes after day 1) and 30,000 chip starting stacks.

The week long festival gets underway today with two super satellite events at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively plus a €300 buy in no-limit hold’em turbo tournament at 9 p.m.

In total 20 events will be played over the week. The main event schedule is:
Saturday, August 27: Day 1A

Sunday: August 28: Day 1B

Monday, August 29: Day 2

Tuesday, August 30: Day 3

Wednesday, August 31: Day 4

Thursday, Sept. 1: Final Table

Last season’s saw a record field of 758 for this destination. The event was won by Swedish player Kent Lundmark who lifted the €825,000 first prize after beating Spaniard Jose Cortes Lizano heads up.
