Phil CollinsPhil Collins had a lot of support at the 2011 World Series of Poker main event final table, but in the end, it wasn’t enough to propel him to Tuesday’s final three.

Collins was one of the most active players at the table and found some success by varying his play with a lot of limps, but once he got five-handed, his all-in move was snapped off by Pius Heinz, who held pocket nines.

Collins had some live cards, holding the ADiamond Suit 7Diamond Suit, but couldn’t connect hard enough with a board reading 6Spade Suit 5Club Suit 4Diamond Suit 9Diamond Suit 7Spade Suit.

The 26-year-old pro did however take home a consolation prize of $2,269,599, which was enough to more than double his career winnings.
