Tower Gaming Moves To Cake Network

Ongame Loses Long-Term Poker Partner

Tower Gaming’s online poker site has moved to the Cake network.

The long-time Ongame network poker partner, with the Austro-German network since 2006, will not accept players from the U.S. and can now offer 33 percent rakeback.

One of the primary drivers of the move seems to be Ongame’s much touted Essence method of calculating rake and allocating loyalty points. Rakeback at Cake is calculated using the dealt method.

The Ongame poker network, owned by bwin, is for sale.

Neither Tower Gaming nor Cake Poker has made an official statement regarding the move except for a couple of tweets from a Twitter account belonging to Tower Gaming one of which confirmed “Cake Poker permits HUDs [heads up displays]. Great news for Tower grinders.”
