$300 Turbo and Satellites Run Day Before NACPT Main Event

The Native American Casino Poker Tour Choctaw $1,000 main event starts today at 2 p.m. CST, and in preparation the Choctaw Resort Casino ran three super satellites today giving away a total of 61 main event seats. In addition to the satellites, event No. 17, a $300 no-limit hold’em turbo event also came to a conclusion today.

Event 17 — $300 No-Limit Hold’Em Turbo

Bobby McClelland The last side event to take place before the main event started at noon, just hours before the flurry of satellite madness, yet still managed to entice 66 players to put up the $300 buy-in to build a $17,285 prize pool. The turbo structure insured that the event lasted around just six and a half hours. Seven players made the money, but the last man standing was Bobby McClelland of Cedar Hill, Texas. McClelland earned $6,049 for his win.

Super Satellites

Three $75 super satellites with $50 rebuys took place today, starting with the 4 p.m. running that attracted 170 players. With an impressive 297 rebuys and 267 add-ons, a total of 40 entries into the NACPT $1,000 main event were awarded.

A second super satellite began at 8 p.m., attracting 75 players, with a total of 127 rebuys and 115 add-ons building enough of a prize pool to award 16 more entries into the main event.

Finally, the “midnight madness” edition of the super satellite added another five entries into the main event, with 29 players, 30 rebuys and 35 add-ons.

Players still looking to qualify for the main event can enter into the $175 mega satellite that starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
