Garcia, who has won more than $38 million on the PGA tour, scooped $35,000 for the performance in one of poker’s most prestigious annual tournaments.
Play is ongoing in the Bahamas, and as of around 4 p.m. ET 32 players remained — all gunning for a first-place prize of $2 million.
Notables still left include Faraz Jaka, Phil D’Auteuil, Barry Greenstein, David Peters and Luca Pagano.
