World Poker Tour Venice Gets Underway

Venice Grand Prix Features €4,950 Buy In Main Event And Full TV Production

The World Poker Tour sails into Venice, Italy today or the penultimate European stop on the season X schedule.

Day 1 of the €4,950 main event gets underway at 1 p.m. local time in Casino Di Venezia, the oldest casino in the world.

Players will start with 30,000 in chips and 60 minute clock. Already confirmed for the event are Kara Scott, Max Pescatori, Charles Chatta, James Akenhead, John Eames, Roberto Romanello, and James Dempsey.

They’ll join Mike Sexton, Vince Van Patten and the Royal Flush Girls and new host Marianela Pereyra who makes her debut while Kimberley Lansing is on maternity leave.

Last year 535 players took part in the main event which was won by Alessio Isaia who took down €380,000 for his victory.
