World Poker Tour Season XI 2012 Schedule AnnouncedNew International and Domestic WPT Events Unveiled |

The World Poker Tour has announced an expanded international schedule for the 2012 half of Season XI, with new stops including the WPT Parx Open Poker Classic in Philadelphia, the WPT Copenhagen in Denmark and the WPT Mazagan in Morocco. The WPT also unveiled the 2012 dates for their regional and national events.
“The World Poker Tour is committed to extending its global reach,” said Steve Heller, WPT CEO. “Not only will Season XI feature new stops in the US and abroad, but World Poker Tour is also widely expanding our Regional and National Series to deliver the WPT experience to as many players and fans as possible.”
The tour kicks off on August 4th with the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic at the Merit-grand Hotel with a non-televised $4,400 main event. The first televised final table follows, the inaugural WPT Parx Open Poker Classic $3,500 main event which begins August 10th. A total of 11 events are on the schedule in 2012, with five events being filmed for televised final tables.
