Every year, celebrities from the world of sports, television and film make their way to the Rio for a shot at poker immortality. The 2012 World Series of Poker main event is no different, drawing some of the biggest crowds on the rail towards their tables.
Actor Kevin Pollak, of The Usual Suspects fame, had a solid day 1, bagging up with 43,900 in chips and advancing to day 2. Card Player spoke to Pollak before he played to find out how he got into the game.
Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo also separated himself from the pack of poker part-timers, finishing up with 44,800.
Notables who have already hit the rail included Everybody Loves Raymond star Ray Romano and UFC champion Georges St. Pierre.
