The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Goliath event gets underway at midday local time today in the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, England.
The £100+£20 buy in no-limit hold’em tournament is hoping to outstrip last year’s 1,765 players by 50 percent by attracting 2,500 entries across its three day 1s.
The tournament has a £100,000 guarantee and player start with 25,000 in chips and a 40 minute clock. Players can enter the tournament up to six times each if they avail of the one re-entry per day rule.
Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive £5 from each registration fee.
Last year Lee Rawson won just over £32,000 for his victory in the event.
