GUKPT Goliath set for Ricoh returnThe Grosvenor UK Poker Tour has announced details of its slimmed down 2013 travels around Britain and Europe.

Gone are the overseas ambitions – Belgium which attracted just 95 players earlier this year – and the main tour stops have been reduced from eight to five.

The other events are made up of £550 buy in deepstack events, a £30 buy in Student Championship in March and the return of GUKPT Goliath with a €200,000 guarantee.

The full list of events has not yet been posted to the GUKPT.com site but we can say the main tour next year will stop in London (twice), Luton, Manchester and Blackpool.

While deepstack events will roll into Stockton, Reading, Portsmouth, Walsall, Bolton, Brighton, and Manchester Didsbury.

The GUKPT has suffered at the hands of intense competition in the UK and European mid-level buy in live poker market with most events this year seeing vastly reduced numbers.
