Spain’s largest TV network, Mediaset España, has signed a deal with Playtech which will see the Israeli-gaming developer offer it a full suite on online gaming products including poker.
The company said, “This is a particularly strategic step for both parties, as Mediaset España is listed among Spain’s 35 strongest companies on the main Spanish stock exchange IBEX 35 with a €1.780M market capitalisation to date.
“In choosing to sign with Playtech, it joins the gaming industry’s leading provider in what is proving to be a tremendously successful market for online gaming.
Mediaset España follows in the footsteps of other European broadcasters such as Setanta in Ireland and Eurosport in France who have dipped their toes in the online gaming market.
