Ohio will open its third casino on Monday in Columbus, but a new report has found that even when all four casinos in the state are open, the increase in tax revenue will not be enough to plug all of the holes in the state’s budget. The state needs approximately $1 billion to account for state budget cuts, but will only receive an estimated $227 million once all four casinos are operational.

Attorneys for the federal government have reaffirmed the right for the Cowlitz Indian Tribe in Vancouver, Washington to build a $510 million casino complex on 152 acres near La Center.
