Greg Raymer achieved a Heartland Poker Tour hat trick by winning his third HPT title in roughly as many months, taking down the Prairie Meadows title just outside of Des Moines, Iowa for $72,089.
The 2004 World Series of Poker main event champion won his first HPT title on July 30th at the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico for $71,875 and followed that up with an even bigger win at the HPT St. Louis main event, taking home $121,973.
The “Fossilman” has now earned $265,937 in HPT events, bringing his career live tournament earnings to more than $7.2 million.
In addition to the money, Raymer also earned 336 Card Player Player of the Year points for winning his ninth career title. As a result, he has moved into 171st place in the overall standings with 1,080 total points.
