The Treasure Island Casino in Las Vegas has announced that as of Nov. 15 they will be moving their poker room from its existing spot to a more centrally located home adjacent to the casino’s sports and race book.
Poker Room Operations Manager Kurt Browning has also announced additional changes for the seven-table room, including reduced jackpot rake, half rake for limit games and $20 bonuses for players willing to start new games.
There will also be cash prizes awarded for high hands and most pots won during five 3-hour sessions each day, as well as random seat drawings.
The Treasure Island poker room will also begin offering $55 freezeout tournaments at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. each day. The 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. tournaments will feature a $1,000 guarantee and each tournament will give players 5,500 in chips to start.
