Boylepoker pro John O’Shea won the iPops High Roller poker tournament for just over $25,000 in the early hours of Tuesday morning and quickly followed up with a $20,000 victory in a $550 buy in pot-limit Omaha event to reverse recent form at the felt.

O’Shea, who won back-to-back European Championship of Online Poker titles in 2008 and 2009 and added a third title in 2009 has also made the final table of a World Poker Tour main event.

He said on his blog at Bloylepoker, “For the first time in 6 months since I went to Vegas I find myself wanting to write a blog. Can’t get much better than 2/2. It’s the latest in what’s been a reasonable run in poker since the last blog.

“I was on all week grinding the PLO tables on Boylepoker from 2/4 through to 25/50. I managed to win $25k there. Unfortunately it all got punted off over the weekend.

“It’s been hard to stay positive over the last 6 months but hopefully tonight’s results will be the spark for a reassurance. Going to keep grinding and hopefully this is the start of things to come.”

O’Shea takes to the boxing ring to fight his friend Ross Johnson for charity at the weekend.
