Birthday Boy Takes Down £22,570 At Manchester Main Event

Eirimas Livonas has won the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Didsbury main event.

Livonas, whose birthday it was, topped the field of 153 players took part in the £500 + £50 buy in main event for a £22,570 payday at the G Casino in the Manchester suburb.

Livnovas started the day as chip leader at the final table his heads up opponent Yani Yanev was third in chips. Their heads up duel lasted over an hour with the chip lead changing hands a number of times before Livonas began to get on top and took a 3:1 advantage.

Eventually he found pocket queens which saw Yanev get his money in with K-Q but couldn’t improve and Livonas took the second GUKPT title of season VII.
