The blow of losing its largest operator, bwin, was softened somewhat at the Ongame poker network this week as it announced the signing of Swedish-listed online gaming operator Redbet.

The two-year licensing deal will see Ongame power not just Redbet.com, but also Whitebet.com, and Heypoker.com.

Redbet was formerly on the Entraction/IGT network which was recently shut.

Darcy Krogh, VP of Business Development at Amaya, the company which bought Ongame from bwin, said, “We’re pleased to add Redbet to our growing family of clients and look forward to exceeding their expectations in us as a technology partner. We continue to execute on Amaya’s plan for Ongame, which is to leverage its scalable software architecture and infrastructure to add new partners to Ongame’s network, including in new jurisdictions.

“With Amaya’s regulatory experience and proven platforms in both poker and casino, we are an increasingly viable option for those looking for new partnerships online.”

Head of poker at Redbet, Adam Vella, added, “When leaving the IGT poker network we did a thorough investigation of all B2B poker providers. Selecting Ongame was an easy choice. Ongame combines excellent network management with a rock solid technical platform. Today, Ongame now provides poker to all of our major sites.”
