With 2013 underway there’s no better time for poker players to adopt new resolutions, set aside bad habits and face into new challenges in the quest to increase their bankrolls and beat the game.
Enter Paddy Power Poker which has launched a yearlong $100,000 challenge – Paddy’s Tournament Challenge.
Players at the site will be ranked weekly according to their results and how much they play in multi-table and single-table tournaments with the number one player earning $100 each week and the top 30 players earning a cash prize while the top 100 earn valuable leader board points.
Each month the top 75 players will share in over $2,000 with the monthly winner taking away $500 for topping the leader board and the top 150 scoring vital leader board points.
Over the course of 2013 the Yearly Leader Board will form and the top 200 players will take a slice of the $50,000 prize pool with the overall winner taking home a $6,000 Irish Open 2014 package along with a variety of Champion Rewards including a dedicated bounty tournament, blog and the opportunity to open the next Irish Open main event.
Spokesman for the company, Paddy Power, said, “Poker players are a very competitive bunch so we thought we’d give them something extra to fight for in 2013, and with $100,000 in free cash to be won the battle lines have been drawn and we’re sure to see the cream rise to the top next year.”
