Mark Allen Lomayestewa and Henrietta Wagner now face dozens of counts of embezzlement and theft in U.S. District Court after the couple was discovered skimming more than $25,000 from Casino Arizona’s player loyalty system.
Arizona Department of Gaming says that Lomayestewa, a former employee of the property, falsified player-rating documents to inflate the amount that Wagner, a former girlfriend, had wagered.
There were over 50 instances of fraud, totaling $27,000 in illegal player benefits over the course of 11 months. Lomayestewa is accused of altering his handwriting and using other employee identification numbers to falsify his reports.
The couple pled not guilty in court and are scheduled to go to trial later this spring.
