Playtech Poker Revenue Down 18 Percent in 2012

iPoker Network Revenue Continues To Plummet

Playtech, the publicly-quoted Israeli gaming technology provider which owns and operates the iPoker network, has seen online poker revenue fall 18 percent in full year 2012 to €17.8 million from €21.8 million in 2011.

Fourth quarter 2012 (Oct. to Dec.) poker revenues were down 27 percent to €4.0 million from €5.5 million in the same period of 20111.

This is despite (Q4/11: €5.5 million) Betclic and Everest poker products being launched on the iPoker.fr and iPoker.com networks.

Elsewhere Betfair started its migration onto the iPoker network in January 2013.

However, overall Playtech, which also operates online casino, bingo, and games, saw gross income up 26 percent to €98.8 million in 2012 from €78.4 million the previous year and
