Monday on Twitter, Dan “jungleman12” Cates asked Tom “durrrr” Dwan about their currently defunct “Durrrr Challenge,” which pitted Cates against Dwan online for 50,000 hands.

Before Black Friday in April 2011, Cates was up $1,251,059 through about 20,000 hands.

Cates’ Tweet came a day after Dwan finished playing in a promotional match versus Team PokerStars Pro at the European Poker Tour London. Dwan responded to the message.

Dwan told PokerListings in an article published Mar. 11: “[The Challenge] should be starting sometime soon. I’ve been talking to him about it so I think we’ll be starting it up at some point.” Cates Tweeted in response to the article: “He’s not talking to me lately.”
