Lightning Poker, a manufacturer of electronic automated poker tables, today announced it has received independent verification of its product and that Lightning Tables will be soon found at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, N.Y.

Gaming Laboratories International certified the table, which doesn't need a dealer, cards, or chips to play poker. A screen is sunk in the middle of the table that shows the board and action, and smaller touch-screens sit in front of every player.

Competitor PokerTek already installed several PokerPro tables in casinos and cruise ships around the country. This will be Lightning Poker's first installation and it will happen sometime in November.

Tournament poker mainstay Brian Haveson is Lightning Poker's CEO and he had this to say about the certification:

"We are pleased to have received independent certification of the Lightning Poker gaming system by GLI, allowing us to move forward rapidly with our marketing efforts. In addition, we are excited to work with Turning Stone Casino to introduce the Lightning Poker product. We look forward to a successful launch at Turning Stone and expect to announce more installations in the near future."

Laboratories International certified the Lightning Poker gaming system under all standards necessary for installation in casinos including GLI-24 Electronic Table Game system standards, GLI-11 & 12 Gaming Devices and Progressive Gaming Devices in Casinos, GLI-13 On-Line Monitoring and Control Systems, and GLI-16 Cashless Systems in Casinos.
