East Coast Poker Championships Set For May 16-19 At Turning Stone Resort Casino

$460 Buy-In No-Limit Hold'em Event Features $100,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool

The 2024 East Coast Poker Championships are underway at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York. The $460 buy-in $100,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em main event running from May 17 through the 19.

Those looking to win their way into the big dance will have plenty of opportunities, with a trio of $110 buy-in turbo qualifier tournaments held at 1:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 16. Those events will see one of every five entries earn a seat in the main event.

The first of two starting flights for the main event kicks off at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 17. The second flight will begin at the same time the following day. The event features 40-minute blind levels, with 30,000 in starting chips and initial blinds of 100-100.

The starting flights will each last 14 levels, with 15-minute after levels 3, 6, and 11 and a 45-minute dinner break after level 9. Late registration and re-entry will be available through level 13.

Tyler Dietz after winning a WSOP Circuit event at Turning StoneThose who make it through the starting flights will return at 11:00 AM on Sunday, May 19 to play down to a winner, with blind levels extended to 50 minutes in length. There will be 20-minute breaks following level 17 and 19 on day 2, with a 50-minute dinner break after level 21.

The 2023 running of this event attracted 474 entries, easily surpassing the $100,00 guarantee to build a final prize pool of $189,600. Tyler Dietz emerged victorious in the end, capturing the title and the top prize of $43,609.
