The Hollywood Poker Open at the M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas drew a massive field of 631 players for their $2,500 buy-in event, shattering their $500,000 guarantee with a $1,423,062 prize pool.
The final table was stacked with pros such as Ben Palmer, Scott Schwalich, Max Greenwood, Sam Stein, Ramzi Jelassi, Kory Kilpatrick and Ryan Tepen, but it was Ana Marquez, a poker pro from Malaga, Spain.
Marquez earned her first major tournament title and the $320,189 first-place prize.
“I can’t believe I won,” said Marquez. “Everything was super perfect. [The players] really liked the M. Everything was run very well. We hope they do more in the future.”
