The Card Player Poker Tour Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza III $5,000 buy-in main event drew 169 entrants on day 1B and when added to the 93 players from day 1A, created a total field of 262, creating a total prize pool of $1,224,850.

The tournament, which is a part of a 218-tournament series that has been running all summer long at the Venetian and Palazzo on the Las Vegas strip, will wrap up on Wednesday.

The players began the day with 25,000 in starting chips and were given 90-minute levels. After battling it out for seven levels, only 74 players remained. They’ll join the 44 survivors from day 1a to form the day 2 field at the Palazzo tournament room on Monday.

Notables who still remain in the hunt for the title include Erick Lindgren, Jimmy Tran, Scott Clements, Joseph Cheong, Kevin Eyster, Eugene Todd, Tim West, David Sands, Dan O’Brien, Eric Baldwin and Erica Lindgren.

Leading the way is Giorgio Medici, He is just one of 13 players who were able to cross the six-figure mark thus far in the tournament.
