David Peters Wins Bellagio Cup IX Main Event

Peters Defeats Jason Koon Heads Up and Earns $355,093

David PetersDavid Peters cashed eight times this summer at the World Series of Poker then continued on to win the Bellagio Cup IX main event. The event drew 137 players, which created a $1,328,900 prize pool. He added $355,093 to his bank roll.

Last year’s Bellagio Cup main event prize pool was $1,222,200 created from 126 players. The winner, Jess Yawitz scored $291,505.

The 26-year-old from Toledo, Ohio defeated Jason Koon who finished runner up and earned $316,000. Other notables included Daniel Stern, Connor Drinan, Alex Condon and Tobias Reinkemeier.

Peters now has $4.5 million in career tournament earnings.

He currently sits in 10th place in Card Player’s Player of the Year race with 2,386 points.
