Harrah's Buys Another Casino Company

Purchase of the London Club Gives Casino Giant Homes in Egypt, South Africa

Harrah's has just gotten bigger.

The world largest casino owner and operator bought a majority stake in London Clubs International, which operates seven casinos in the U.K., two in Egypt, and one in South Africa.

London Clubs International's board of directors unanimously recommended that its shareholders accept the $530 million offer that Harrah's made this summer, and shareholders recently did.

Harrah's owns or manages more than 40 casinos in several countries and also owns the World Series of Poker brand.
