Las Vegas Station casinos are currently running two freeroll promotions. The first weekly freeroll contest is the $35,000 Omaha Giveaway at
Green Valley Ranch, with the first week beginning at midnight Nov. 12 and running through midnight Nov. 17. The other is The Great Hands Giveaway going on at all Station Casino poker rooms in Las Vegas.
The Green Valley Ranch $35,000 Omaha Giveaway
The weekly $35,000 Omaha Giveaways at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson will be conducted in two stages over a period of seven weeks.
Stage 1. Omaha high live game players need to play only a minimum of 15 hours during each seven-day qualifying period. The first qualifying period started at midnight on Saturday, November 11.
Stage 2. Players who qualify will compete every Sunday for their share of a $5,000 prize pool. The first Sunday tournament for qualifiers begins on Nov. 26. Sunday tournament prize money will be distributed as follows:
1st - $2,000
2nd - $1,000
3rd - $750
4th - $500
5th - $250
6th - $200
7th - $100
8th - $100
9th - $50
10th - $50
A timecard will record a player's name, the dates of play, along with the start and end times for the days that he or she plays. Every week, Green Valley Ranch offers players another chance to qualify for the $35,000 Omaha Giveaway by playing only 15 hours of live Omaha high. Every Sunday at 11 a.m. the poker room will run another tournament for qualified players.
The $35,000 Omaha Giveaway will end on Jan. 7, 2006.

Green Valley Ranch $10,000 Omaha Royal Flush Jackpot
Green Valley Ranch poker room will be awarding another $10,000 during the $35,000 Omaha Giveaway qualifying period through Dec. 31, 2006. Players who complete a royal flush hand while playing live Omaha win another $200 until the $10,000 jackpot is depleted.
The Great Hands Giveaway at all Las Vegas Station Casinos
The Great Hands Giveaway works a lot like bingo and relates to Texas hold'em games only. A board containing 25 squares (five rows of five squares each) is displayed in each of the Station Casino poker rooms. Each square has a value, (four squares represent straight flushes, one square represents the royal flush, and the rest are a random number of specific fours-of-a-kind and full houses). Full houses and fours-of-a-kind are valued at $50 each. Straight flushes and the royal are worth $200. Every time a specific valued hand is hit, the player presenting that hand is awarded the prize money and his or her name is placed in the corresponding square. The player to win the last square in each row (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal) receives another $500.00 bonus. If a player completes a row combination, such as a vertical and horizontal, or a verticle horizontal and a diagonal, he or she wins $500 for each. Whoever wins the final hand that blacks out the bingo-like Texas hold'em Great Hands Giveaway poker board wins an additional $500.
When the last hand has qualified and the prize money has been awarded, the names on the board are cleared and the 25 squares are given another set of random values.
The turnover for this promotion averages three completed boards, or 75 squares, per casino, per month.
