Boxing star Floyd Mayweather apparently loves to roll the dice.

For this Sunday’s NFL Super Bowl featuring the Denver Broncos versus the Seattle Seahawks, Mayweather reportedly has bet a massive sum of $13 million.

Most of that money is going on the Broncos, who are the slight favorites in the big game.

The action of course is coming in Las Vegas, Nevada, where sports betting nets Nevada casinos well over $100 million annually in revenue. It’s a small chunk of the overall pie, however, as casino win amounts to nearly $11 billion annually.

Live poker and sports betting are about equivalent in the Silver State.

In some sense, sports betting is a draw to help bring people into casinos in order for them to spend on other activities. New Jersey, for example, is fighting the major sports leagues in its quest to authorize the business for struggling Atlantic City properties.

The 36-year-old Mayweather is currently undefeated as a professional. He is a five-division world champion, having won eight world titles and the lineal championship in three different weight classes. He’s from Michigan, but now lives in Las Vegas.

According to Forbes, his career boxing earnings have reached $350 million.

There hasn’t been any public acknowledgement by Mayweather with regards to the bets.
