On Thursday, April 24 in New York City, the ninth annual Poker4Life Charity Poker Championship will kick off, awarding over $25,000 in prizes.
The $350 buy-in tournament, which benefits the Buoniconti Fund in searching for a cure for paralysis, will award the top two finishers seats into the $10,000 World Series of Poker main event. Third place will take home a $3,500 entry into an upcoming Foxwoods or Borgata tournament and the rest of the top 10 will also take home prizes such as diamond earrings, hotel stays and even be able to fly a fighter jet for a day.
All entries include a cocktail reception. Those who want to attend the cocktail reception but don’t wish to play in the tournament can purchase tickets for $100.
The doors for the event will open at 6 p.m. at The Tunnel on The Waterfront and the cards will be in the air by 7 p.m. Players can utilized unlimited $250 rebuys during the first hour, with one $250 add-on allowed after the rebuy period is over.
Those who register by Friday, April 18 will automatically be entered into a drawing for a $1,500 Borgata tournament entry.
