Comic George Wallace has won $1.3 million in a civil judgement against the Bellagio, Reuters reported. The verdict was returned Tuesday.

Wallace was at the casino in 2007 for a performance, when he tripped on some audio cables. He ruptured his Achilles tendon, an injury which he said left him with a permanent limp.

Wallace’s attorney argued that the casino was guilty of negligence because the cables should have been secured. Retuers reported that the jury believed Bellagio “breached its duty of care.”

The 61-year-old was awarded $1.2 million for loss of income, $100,000 for pain and suffering and $8,500 for medical expenses, according to the report.

Bellagio attorneys reportedly are weighing their legal options after the verdict.

The casino is one of many owned by MGM Resorts International.
