The World Series of Poker National Championship will wrap up the 10th season of the WSOP Circuit on May 22 in Atlantic City. A total of 100 players will qualify for the seven-figure prize pool tournament, with most of the entrants having won their way in throughout the WSOP Circuit season at various stops.
However, this May, WSOP.com in both Nevada and New Jersey will run a freeroll tournament giving two lucky individuals an automatic seat into the tournament. To participate in the freeroll, players simply need to make a deposit during the month of April. The Nevada freeroll takes place on May 10 and the New Jersey freeroll takes place on May 17.
Beginning April 20, both sites will also run a series of 14 knockout tournaments, designed to award an additional two seats to the championship. The tournaments will run nightly for two weeks, with each night’s winner given a seat into the 14-person Knockout Series Champions Freeroll that takes place on May 4.
If that wasn’t enough, then consider this. Bally’s Atlantic City, this year’s host of the WSOP National Championship, will also give away two seats of their own with a special freeroll in their brand-new tournament room on May 19 and $1,125 Last Chance tournament on May 20.
In addition to the 100 automatic qualifiers, the top 100 WSOP ranked players are also eligible to buy-in directly into the WSOP National Championship for $10,000 rake free, adding to the $1 million prize pool being put p by the WSOP.
