Hard Rock Casino Opens In Downtown Sioux City

30,000 Square Feet Of Gaming Floor Space, Along With 54 Hotel Rooms

A brand new casino opened its doors in Sioux City, Iowa just a handful of days ago.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City has 30,000 square feet of gaming floor space, which includes 839 slot machines and 25 table games, featuring blackjack, roulette and craps, the Associated Press reported.

Staind frontman Aaron Lewis performed at the casino’s grand opening.

“We couldn’t be happier to have a major rock star like Aaron Lewis help us get the party started,” Todd Moyer, General Manager of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City, the the AP.

“It’s been a whirlwind right up to the finish getting everything ready for our grand opening, and we’re thrilled to share the evening with our community.”

The casino took less than a year to build and cost roughly $120 million.
