Police say that a New York man robbed Turning Stone casino on Tuesday and then attempted to flee the area by hitchhiking.

Apparently he had no other getaway plan.

No motorist picked up 30-year-old Jacob Walsh and he instead opted to hide out in the woods close to the casino, where he was caught about 60-90 minutes later.

Walsh allegedly told a cashier at the casino that he had a weapon and ordered the cashier to fill a backpack with money, according to Syracuse.com. The amount hasn’t yet been disclosed.

No weapon was visible and police are still trying to figure out if he actually had a weapon.

Walsh was charged with first-degree robbery and sent to county jail on $60,000 bail.
