Casino: NFL Never Asked For Ray Rice VideoLeague Says It Asked The Cops For It, But Was Denied |

According to a report from the New York Post, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell never asked Revel casino to see the video from inside the elevator, which shed more light on what exactly happened between Ray Rice and his wife, Janay Palmer Rice, back in February.
Unnamed sources with the now-bankrupt casino said that the NFL just didn’t ask, even though they would have definitely provided it to the NFL.
The sources seem to contradict what Goodell has been saying about going the full length to investigate that matter. The NFL says it asked the police for it (but apparently not Revel).
“We asked for it on multiple occasions,” Goodell told USA Today Sports.
He added: “We asked law enforcement and they were not willing to provide it. I think they were under some legal requirements not to provide it, as I understand it.”
Some are calling for Goodell’s resignation for his handling of the Rice case.
Goodell maintains that he never saw the video until Monday morning, when it was published online by TMZ. The video led to Rice’s indefinite suspension from football.
Goodell said in a separate statement: “We had not seen any videotape of what occurred in the elevator. We assumed that there was a video, we asked for video, we asked for anything that was pertinent, but we were never granted that opportunity.”
Rice was arrested back in February. The first appalling video, which the NFL definitely did see, showed Ray dragging an unconscious Janay out of the elevator.
The police called it a “very minor physical altercation.”
According to USA Today, Goodell said he isn’t worried about his job.
