In this Card Player weekly feature we look to provide our readers with a guide to some of the biggest poker events taking place in their area for the upcoming week. INTERNATIONAL
- The 2015 European Poker Tour Deauville (Jan 27, ‘15 – Feb 07, ’15) The Casino Barriere de Deauville is hosting the second stop of the new year on the European Poker Tour. The EPT Deauville festival will feature 45-events in total, kicking off with the French Poker Series €1,100 no-limit hold’em main event that begins with the first of two starting days at noon local time on Jan. 28th.
- The 2015 Aussie Millions (Jan 14, ‘15 – Feb 02, ’15) The Crown Casino in Melbourne is currently hosting the 18th annual Aussie Millions Poker Championship, and for the second year the festival is part of the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour. The 21-event series is now reaching it’s climax, with one more starting flight available in the $10,600 AUD no-limit hold’em main event beginning at 12:30 PM local time on Jan. 27th. For the high rollers out there the $250,000 super high roller event kicks off at 2:30 local time on Feb. 1st.
- The 2015 APT Cebu (Jan 27, ’15 – Feb 04, ’15) The Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu, Philippines will host the latest stop on the Asian Poker Tour starting this week. The 50,000 PhP ($1,115 USD) main event begins with the first of three starting days at 1:00 PM on Jan. 30th.
FLORIDA
- The 2015 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open (Jan 22, ‘15 – Feb 11, ’15) The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood launched it’s huge 31-event Lucky Hearts Poker Open series last week, and the hits just keep on coming. This week’s highlight is a $300,000 guaranteed $1,100 buy-in no-limit hold’em event with two starting days, each kicking off at noon on Jan. 29th and 30th.
NEVADA
- The 2015 Deepstack Extravaganza I (Jan 27, ‘15 – Feb 26, ’15) The Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas kicks off with the first run of it’s popular Deepstack Extravaganza series in 2015 starting this week. The biggest event of the first week is a $500,000 guaranteed $600 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. The tournament features four starting flights, each beginning at noon from Jan. 27th through the 30th.
- The 2015 Aria High Rollers II and III (Jan 30, ‘15 – Jan 31, ’15) Aria Resort & Casino is hosting back-to-back $25,000 no-limit hold’em eight-max high roller events on
Jan 30th and 31st. The two events both run only one day, each beginning at noon.
- The "2015 HPT Grand Sierra Resort & Casino ":http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tournaments/5125-2015-hpt-grand-sierra-resort-casino(Jan 29, ’15 – Feb 09, ’15) The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno will see the Heartland Poker Tour roll into town this week, with the early highlight being a $40,000 guaranteed $240 buy-in tournament that begins with the first of two starting days at noon on Jan. 30th.
NORTHEAST
- The 2015 WPT Winter Poker Open (Jan 13, ‘15 – Jan 30, ’15) The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey is the site of the first World Poker Tour major stop of 2015 as part of it’s Winter Poker Open series which got underway earlier this month. The centerpiece of the whole affair is the $3 million guaranteed $3,500 buy-in no-limit hold’em World Poker Tour main event that began with the first of two starting days at 11:00 Am local time on Jan. 25th. The second and final starting flight launches at 11:00 AM on Monday, Jan. 26th.
- The CPPT Foxwoods Resort Casino (Jan 31, ‘15 – Feb 09, ’15) The Foxwoods Resort Casino launches into it’s second annual Card Player Poker Tour festival later this week, beginning with a $100,000 guaranteed $600 buy-in tournament that starts at 11:00 AM on Jan. 31st.
SOUTH
- The 2015 WSOP Circiut Horseshoe Tunica (Jan 22, ‘15 – Feb 02, ’15) The World Series of Poker Circuit made it’s way back down south to the Horseshoe Casino & Hotel-Tunica in Robinsonville, MS for a 14-event tournament series starting last week. As always the focus of the festival is the $1,675 no-limit hold’em WSOP Circuit main event that begins with the first of two starting days at noon on Jan. 30th.
