Washington I-Poker Efforts Dead For 2015Online Poker Players In State Will Have To Wait |

It didn’t last too long on the legislative table, as the state of Washington’s online poker bill has been deemed dead for 2015, according to the Washington iPoker Initiative.
In early January, House Bill 1114 was introduced into the legislature by Rep. Sherry Appleton, a Democrat. It never received a hearing.
The appetite for legalizing online poker was low this year, which is not surprising given the state’s current law on the books that criminalizes online poker play. It might take some time before Washington reverses its stance on web card playing.
Though it has a harsh stance against online poker, the state is friendly to live poker. There are 74 brick-and-mortar poker rooms in Washington.
Mississippi also has bowed out of the online poker race in 2015, leaving just California with active online poker legislation—and there’s still a lot of work to be done there.
