Ready for the world premiere of Poker Central’s Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout tonight? The six episodes of the Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout will air three Wednesdays in a row starting July 29, at 6 p.m. EST on the NBC Sports Network.

Poker legends Doyle Brunson, Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth and Vanessa Selbst were the poker pros in competition for the $1 million winner-take-all prize. Actors Hank Azaria, Don Cheadle, Brad Garrett, Norm Macdonald and Kevin Pollak all played on the celebrity said. Garrett was his usual hilarious self at the poker table.

The celebs are no strangers to poker, though, with several being familiar faces on the high buy-in tournament circuit around the country. Macdonald was once the host of High Stakes Poker.

“These Hollywood celebrities are about to face off in the hardest game of their life, for more than they’ve ever played for before, against some of the world’s best players,” said Clint Stinchcomb, CEO of Poker Central. “This exciting, high pressure poker will be riveting to watch.”

The winner of the poker pro table faced off against the winner of the celebrity table. The event was filmed June 27-28 at Aria casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

In addition to the Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout, Poker Central filmed a $500,000 buy-in called the Super High Roller Bowl. That tournament, which was won by Brian Rast, will begin airing Friday, Aug. 28 on NBCSCN and culminate with an Oct. 23 show.

In the works for more than a year, Poker Central, soon to be the world’s only 24/7 poker TV network, is expected to launch this fall. Poker Central says it “is committed to delighting audiences and advancing the sport of poker worldwide.”
