It took just two hands before our first casualty of the 2015 World Series of Poker November Nine final table.
With two short stacks on his immediate left, you just knew that chip leader Joe McKeehen was going to do everything in his power to apply pressure, and that’s exactly what he did when it folded around to his button.
McKeehen open shoved, putting Patrick Chan to the test in the small blind. Chan looked visibly shaken as he pondered what to do, but after about 45 seconds he decided to put in the rest of his stack of about 14 big blinds with KQ.
Federico Butteroni folded his big blind and McKeehen showed his superior A4.
The board ran out 106539 and the 26-year-old Brooklyn, New York poker pro was eliminated in ninth place, earning $1,001,020.
