The 2004 World Series of Poker main event runner-up will be a contestant on the latest season of “MasterChef”, he said this week on his Twitter account.
Poker pro David Williams will be among 40 competitors in the season premier June 1 on FOX, which will air at 8 p.m. EST. Williams, who has roughly $8.5 million in lifetime tournament earnings, will be competing for the $250,000 grand prize and a cookbook deal.
Williams, who lives in Las Vegas, won a WSOP bracelet in 2006. He’s one of six Las Vegans to be on the seventh season of MasterChef, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Williams follows a long list of poker pros who have appeared on reality TV shows. Before Williams, the latest was Anna Khait, who appeared on the newest season of Survivor.
