Pennsylvania Online Gambling Bill Likely To Be Considered In June: ReportHouse Lawmakers To Possibly Vote On Legislation |

A bill in Pennsylvania that would legalize and regulate online casino games is expected to be considered by the full House in June, according to a report from the Reading Eagle.
The bill, which comes from Rep. John Payne, was considered last year before being put on hold until this spring. The legislation calls for the state’s 12 existing brick-and-mortar casinos to be licensed Internet casino operators.
Pennsylvania’s online poker efforts come as Michigan and California consider similar legislation.
New Jersey, Pennsylvania’s neighbor to the east, just set an online gambling revenue record in April. The Garden State’s online casinos won roughly $17 million during the month.
Pennsylvania casinos set a table games revenue record in March by winning nearly $78 from gamblers. Roughly $5.2 million of that came from poker.
That wasn’t long after state gambling regulators said that total gaming win in 2015 was $3.17 billion, an all-time high for the Keystone State. Pennsylvania determined that regulated online gaming would grow its existing gambling market by about 10 percent.
Pennsylvania’s casino industry launched in 2006 with gaming win of $31.57 million.
