A Rendering Of The Casino InteriorConstruction is officially underway at the site of the new Bay 101 Casino, which is set to open in 2017. The $100 million first phase will include a two-story, 68,000 sq. ft. property that will offer the same poker action that Bay 101 has become famous for, but also new entertainment and fine-dining options.

The project is part of Bay 101 Technology Place, an innovative, mixed-use development that offers people a convenient and stimulating place to work, live and play less than 3/4 of a mile from San Jose International Airport.

“When Bay 101 was looking to relocate, we realized this was an opportunity to create something that didn’t exist in Silicon Valley — a seamlessly integrated development with office space, top-end business-class hotels, a range of dining options, and entertainment anchored by the casino,” said Tom Purtell, chief operating officer for project manager, Borelli Investment Company. “Most people have less time than ever today and to be able to stay, play and work in one location with so many options within mere steps is a compelling proposition.”

Bay 101 Technology Place has already received additional planning approval for a nine-story, 242,000 sq. ft. office tower, an eight-level parking garage, a seven-story Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel and a 10-story business-class hotel. The Embassy Suites hotel is estimated to open in 2018.

In the meantime, the original Bay 101 Casino will remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is located at 1801 Bering Drive San Jose, CA 95112. For more information, visit the casino homepage or call (408)451-8888.
