With most of the world's poker media focused on the Bellagio this week, it's easy to forget that a World Series of Poker Circuit event is also taking place at Caesars Las Vegas this week.
The Circuit series started Monday with a $550 event. A $1,060 event took place Tuesday, with more to follow until the $5,150 championship concludes May 2. All the events are no-limit hold'em events, except as noted, and all times are PT. The remaining events are:
To make the championship event affordable, Caesars is running two mega-satellites to its championship event each day. As many seats as possible into the $5,150 will be awarded in each satellite. The one held at 3 p.m. each day costs $330 and the one at 7 p.m. costs $550. Three mega-satellites also will be held April 29; two for $550 at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and a $330 at 4 p.m.
And players can get into all the events for as little as $65. All day long Caesars is running single-table satellites that award $500 chips that players can use to pay toward their entry fees. These satellites cost $65, $125, $550, and $1,075. The $65 tourneys award one chip, the $125, two chips, the $550, one entry into the main event, and the $1,075 awards two seats into the main event. They start when enough players sign up for each one.
Second-chance tournaments also are taking place at Caesars each day at 5 p.m. during the Circuit series. They cost $200.
