In June, Colorado legalized daily fantasy sports, at the time joining five other states with regulation on the games.
Last week, the first brick-and-mortar fantasy sports wagering kicked off in Colorado, according to a report from The Gazette. The type of betting is allowed at off-track betting facilities (online coming soon). You can bet on the performances of individual players.
Nevada-based USFantasy Sports will provide odds and rules to the Colorado facilities.
The betting is currently limited to just the NFL, but other sports are expected to come into the mix later. Colorado doesn’t allow this kind of betting on college or high school sports.
The state is expected to have about 10 of these locations within the coming months.
The entire fantasy sports market in North American is valued at $26 billion.
