A police officer in Portland, Oregon was fired, but not charged, after becoming upset for some reason during an off-duty poker home game and then threatening to shoot a witness in the head.

The information comes from a Portland Police Review Board report released this week. It took awhile for it to become public, as the poker game incident happened on Sept. 20, 2015.

Oregonlive.com was first to report on the firing over the poker game incident.

The poker-playing police officer left the poker game and returned with his gun to menace the people there, according to the city’s findings. The officer’s name was not made public.

According to the city, the cop returned to the residence and kicked the door and broke a window while trying to re-enter. The police officer’s spouse eventually came to take him or her home.

It appears no one was injured during the incident.

No charges were filed despite the report finding that the officer “violated state law.”
